The conference on surgical urology and andrology (UROCARE 2026), coinciding with the 120th anniversary of the birth of Aleksander A. Vishnevsky, an outstanding Russian surgeon and scientist, will take place on June 4–5, 2026 at the A.V. Vishnevsky National Medical Research Center of Surgery. At the A.V. Vishnevsky National Medical Research Center of Surgery surgical urology has evolved from concept proposed by A.V. Vishnevsky and subsequently by A.A. Vishnevsky to cornerstone. A.A. Vishnevsky was the first to consider pelvic floor rehabilitation in spinal cord injury using radiofrequency electrical stimulation. Since that time a number of surgical interventions were performed, including cystoplasty for secondary contracted bladder, transurethral bladder neck resection, partial nephrectomy and nephrectomy for cancer in 1990s.
Today, the A.V. Vishnevsky National Medical Research Center of Surgery is recognized as a top performer among medical centers providing surgical treatment to high-risk patients, including those suffering from urology and oncourology disease. Our new scientific event is aimed at bring together experts from different research groups and urology professionals to address the pressing questions that all we encounter in our daily practice. Today, the national project “Long and Active Life” sets goals and objectives that we can achieve together, develop a unified position on the treatment of high-risk patients suffering from urology and oncourology disease, delve into research updates, and share experiences from expert centres. UroCare 2026 features a wide range of session formats designed to inform, inspire, and connect urology professionals worldwide. From section meeting and roundtable discussions to hands-on training courses and live surgery, each session type offers a unique way to share knowledge, explore new developments, and engage with experts in the field.
